@The Smile Effect!!
To most, I know my constant smiling face brings the impression that I am an immature kid! Anyways, I dont mind that now! (though i used to be very frustrated by that initially). This post is not about why my friends percieve me as an immature person, this is about a google dollar worth of an experience. Here it goes....
It happened on the 3rd Tuesday of June of Summer of 2008. Me in Hyderabad, pursuing my summer training at ITC PSPD. When not in office, I am generally in my room at the ITC guest house where my accommodation was arranged. People here (read other residents of the guest house) are so bore and none of them my age. So I have got no friends here to hang out with and so I mostly rot in the room only. Neways, leave that! Oh! I haven’t really started about the experience yet.
Ok-ok! Here it goes. The other day I decided to call an old friend Jitesh. He was with me 5 yrs back in school. I had met him last approximately 2 years ago, and though we have been chatting a few times, I haven’t seen or heard him since past 2 years. So that day I called him. Though I had planned to fool him by manipulating my voice into a tough one, but that could not really happen because it was his father who picked up the phone and so I had to tell him that I was a friend of Jitesh. But I did not tell him my name, so he called jitesh and told him that his friend was on phone for him. Here is the conversation that followed before he recognized who he was talking to :
Jitesh : Hello!
Me: Hello!
Jitesh: Hello!
Me: Hello Jitesh bol raha hai!? (trying to recognize the voice)
Jitesh: Haan bol raha hun!
Me: Toh bol! (still trying to recognize if it is actually his voice only)
Jitesh: kya!
Me: Toh booolll! (still not confident if it is jitesh only but smiling now)
Jitesh: ahemm ANUdeep!!
:O :O :O!! I said ‘Phoda hai’! This was amazingly amazing! 2 years! It had been 2 years since we had last heard/seen each other. And while I was still struggling to recognize his voice, he had already recognized me. Absolutely amazing! I asked him how he did that!? He replied “Kutte tu hasta he rahega zindagi bhar, I can still picturize you in my mind, smiling and talking to me right now?” And we talked for about 15 more minutes. He remembered so much about how we used to have fun! It was such a joy talking to him after such a long gap. He remembered all the one liners, one words we used to make fun with and he remembered so much more than me!! But him recognizing me made me recall another such incidence.
It had happened about 7 months back when I called another friend of mine after a long time who again immediately recognized me. When I asked him how he did that he also said “sale tera hasna kabhi band nahi hoga, abhi bhi terese baat karte hue I can imagine how you must be smiling right now”
Lately I had been thinking of adopting a more serious visage, but after talking to Jitesh and remembering the chat with the other old friend, I was just wondering that if my glorious smiling face can make my friends remember me as ever smiling, then be it, even if at the cost of being perceived as immature! What say people!!!

@the shit experience
SHIT HAPPENS!!!! I had read it somewhere, but that day I experienced it myself. It was my b'day party and 4 of us... gattu, jindal, me and affy. We first went to a beer bar, where I first took one peg of RC and then gattu, jindal and me continued with haywards 5000 beer. Affy doesn't drink [how boring!]... It was the first time, I did not find beer very bitter. I stopped drinking when I was in a floating state... when one still remains in his senses, but the mind forgets all tension and head become light, so it swings... After we were satisfied with drinking... we moved on to the Divine Restaurant. Pure non-veg stuff was ordered... no veg stuff except for the butter naans and plain tandoori rotis. All 4 of us stuffed ourselves with the non-veg delight [ i hope it was a delight ]. From there then, we started to move towards our very own ganga hostel. After we had walked about half-way, jindal said that he had to go to ravindra bhawan for some reason which I dont remember. So he pulled me with him for his company. I cursed him for that at that moment because the natural pressure, the mightiest of all pressures had started to build inside me then. I begged him, to leave me... but hehe karte hue he pulled me with him. So I was caught in this dilemma. That time I was not aware of how bad the situation might become. After walking for 3-4 another minutes... the pressure had become, of some other universe. It was not like anything I had felt ever before. DAMN!!!! I stopped for a while in front of the church on our way. And the fucker was not able resist his laughter. [Yahan meri g*** fat rahi thi aur use hasi aa rahi thi]. Fir jindal asked me if he should lift me upto ravindra bhawan. So now he was carrying me on his back, but poor jindal... 80KG ko church se ravindra bhawan kaise lekar jaata. He dropped me after about 10 steps. Him lifting me had given me some relief in the meantime, so i said i could cover the rest of the distance myself. But hardly had i taken 5 steps, it come up again, shit shit shit!!!!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Only a miracle could have stopped it from happening at that time, had i not grabbed my own *ss! Fuck fuck fuck!!! I had to grab my own *ss, both hands!!!! That too in the middle of the street!!! And jindal burst into laughter.... even I could not resist laughing at my own condition, so i started laughing too, which aggravated the pressure even more. Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! For the first time in my life, I needed GOD! Hey bhagwaan aaj izzatt bacha lo, plzzzzzzzz i thought!!! warna main kisi ko muh dikhane ke laayak nahi rahunga!!!! Neways, God helped! After about 10 seconds, the situation felt a little under control. We were a few steps away from Azad Bhawan then... I said to jindal that i would use a toilet in Azad and then we will go to ravindra bhawan. Jindal said "abey ab control hai toh ravindra bhawan he chal na"... so we moved again... but only 3 steps this time.... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh it was coming again.... I had to do grab them again... even harder this time.... fuck fuck fuck!!! and I thought "bhagwaan bhi pura badla nikaal rahe hain yaar mere se toh"... aaj toh izzatt nahi bachegi lagta hai..... Somehow i moved towards azad bhawan gate still holding my *ss... but then jindal started pulling me... saying "abey ye toh raha ravindra bhawan.. aa toh gaya... chal naa....." I said "m******** , B********** jaane deeeeeeeeeeee plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz warna aaj meri G*** fat jaayegi sach mein" Then I hurriedly moved towards one of the ground floor toilets. In less the a sec.. i pulled my pants down and it came out..............................
haaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

@the realization continued
hmmm..... so we continue now....
Actually, i need to go a little back. It has to do with the encounter with the Canadian I talked about in 'the realisation'. It started with a casual talk. He came up with a cup of coffee in his hand, and sat at one of the benches near us. A little bit of introduction, and then he asked us, "do you people have to make a choice in Power Engg. and Electronics while pursuing a course in Electrical Engg.???", to which Nikhil promplty replied "we major in Power Engg. but Electronics is also taught to us reasonably". Then Aprajita asked him "it must be very cold in Canada??", and this marked the beginning of his non-stop narration. He told us, that certainly Canada was a cold country but it was not the same cold everywhere in Canada and that it very much depended on location. He said (pointing his finger towards the monogram on his jacket), that he had worked in such-and-such place and that average temperature there was around -25 degree!! which could be interpreted as, the lowest temperature was around -30 degree!!! Then he told us, how they people relied very much on Electricity in Canada. Electricity was life for them. They could not even light the gas stove to cook food without electricity, nor the furnace would work without electricity.
He told us about an incident when he had to go out of Canada for a few days. One of his neighbors would check everyday that the furnace was working properly and that the house was well warmed. Once there was a gap of about 30hrs for checking the furnace, and unfortunately the furnace did develop some fault and stopped heating. When the neighbor came next day, he found that the water supply pipes were all frozen, and the water inside had expanded to ice, so the pipes were all burst. It had cost him $500 to replace the pipes and $2000 for the furnace. After this he narrated the most disastrous incident that took place in 1998 probably.
It was winter season. Rain was pouring. And the cold was such, that as soon as the rain drops came into contact with any physical thing, it froze to ice. So was the case with the power transmission lines. The rain drops were pouring continuously which resulted in a 15cm ice-loading on the transmission lines, which they could not withstand, and all the towers collapsed one-by-one. This aggravated the disaster in a way, nothing else could do. As soon as the transmission lines collapsed, there was no electricity because of which many people froze to death in their own homes!!!
It was then that I realized, that many things which we take for granted, carry the importance of life to some other people. It was then, that I realized, that how important my discipline of study was to the outer world. How much they expect of us!!!! It was then, that I started respecting my own discipline of study. It was then, that for the first time, I felt proud to be an Electrical Engg. student.

@the realization
Last night, I was feeling sleepy by 10 pm, quite early by the standards of typical IIT junta. But then, sleep is not something anybody would like to compromise on.. not at all when it is chilling cold outside your room. So I put off lights, and went inside my fur blanket which acted like a narcotic in aggravating the sleepy feeling. And as soon as I fell asleep, tring tring..... tring tring... tring tring.... Damn!!! I forgot to put my phone on silent. I must have considered that it was too early to fall asleep here in IITR. Anyways it was from a friend who had called me to inform me about the IBM's test for internships. He told me that there was no eligibility criteria for the test, and that anybody could take the test. Fuck him... Fuck IBM..... I cursed for disturbing me in my sleep.
Anyways, I got up by 9 today morning luckily, did my breakfast and then moved towards the test venue. It was Electronics Engg. Deptt., about one kilometer away from my hostel. So I moved towards it, on my legs, all alone. Some other electronics student passed me by from behind me and went towards the same venue for the same purpose, but on a bicycle. As I reached the deptt. I saw Nikhil coming. I had sent him and 2 other friends an sms last night after that disturbing call, telling about the test and the 'open for all' clause. We went upstairs together. He asked me if I was sure that this test was open for all, I assured him of that and then we moved towards the auditorium in the deptt. Then there was a brief introduction of the internships program 'Extreme Blue' that IBM was carrying out in IITR, under which this test was organized. After that they asked us to move to so-and-so rooms where the test would be conducted. The crowd rushed to grab the easy positions in those rooms, and by the time we reached there, they were all full to their capacity, except for the front benches. So we took the front bench. Now I was all prepared mentally to take the test, waiting for the test papers to come, a feeling of anxiety was arousing. And then there was this announcement....
'This test is for computer science students only, not for electrical engg students, not for electronics students, only computer science students.'
Snap!!! Fuck him... Fuck IBM... (for misinforming the students this time)
Anyways, I acted cool!! Then three of us (I guess everybody reading this post knows who three, so no need of names ) went to Nesci. We sat there for some time, a Canadian also joined us, who told us that he was doing some work here in AHEC deptt. and that he has been in IITR for past 9 months. He left, after talking for about 15-20 min. and then we 3 also left the place and moved to our respective hostels!!!
After I reached my hostel, it buzzed me that I had to go for my CAT coaching class to Career Launcher i.e. CL, but i did not know the timings. So I called that same friend, who had called me last night, to ask him about the timings of todays class (he also goes to the same coaching class), but he didn't answer the call. I tried again after 15 min. at 11:15 am, he did not reply this time also. Then came his sms... 'CL class going'
grrrrr.... Fuck him... Fuck IBM... I thought once again in fury!!!!
Update*- Latest information (as told to me at 3:30 pm today) is that the test was again made 'open for all' 5 min later.... i.e after we left the place!!!
Fuck IBM in all styles now!!

@spot the change
'Spot the change in me' contest starts in IITR today. This contest (the toughest contest on earth i believe) will run untill the winner comes up (might take more than an year). U have to spot wat has changed in me since last 2 days. Don't worry, the change will remain as it is untill a winner comes up, (even if it takes more than an year) but obviously in disguise. A disguise so strong that it has never been tested on anyone other than the two persons not allowed to participate. And by the time, the winner comes up with the correct answer... he/she will know the prize already!!! :)
* This is a completely 'observation skills' oriented game designed specially for people who think they can disguise but can't. Now watch and learn!!!
* Who can not participate:- my mum and sis :P
* Shortcut to win:- bribe me rightly :) actually, thats the only way to win.

@iDrink

Here comes, the new age drink, from the underground lab of Apple's R 'n' D Innovator, code name Nude Ape and code number 07. And to honour the magnificent name of the company, there is a pinch of rotten apple essence (1.75 ml i.e .25 %) in every bottle.
- Comes in two flavours (standard can volume - 700 ml)
- Red Disco (red apple essence)
- Green Way (green apple essence)
- Creates a neat Illusion : iDrinker's current crush appears to be performing pole dance ( clothings and accessories as imagined by the iDrinker, not mandatory to be imagined )

There is a '+' and a '-' button on the can to increase or decrease the alcohol content respectivly. Also there is a digital display which tells the current alcohol content.
Tagline : iDrink is the new way. I drink iDrink!!!!!

Special introductory offer : Buy None, Get one Free!!!!

@irony of a sad song
This one came to my mind, while listening to a just-another-song. Actually a brief discussion has already occured on this, between me and a friend. Although this may not apply to all, but i believe it will, to atleast around 98% of the world population. And the simple fact being highlighted here is ' Y a Fav song is a Sad song '. May be its because people relate to sadness more easily then to happiness. May b this is the reason y sad songs are written in such bulk and a really energetic, cheerful song having the potential to be a fav ( ex. 'Koi kahe' frm Dil Chahta Hai ), comes only once in a blue moon. Isn't it so very ironical in its way, that on playing a song in blues, nerves begin to relax, aorta starts pumping slower, a sleepiness crawls in, and the feeling called calm comes gushing out, releasing a kind of good feeling, which the song surely doesn't contain in itself. Why is it that songs like 'In the End' and 'Numb' frm Lnkn Prk , 'Kuch iss tarah' and 'Tere bin' from Atif become a rage and a very cheerful song like 'Bas itna sa khwab hai' ( my fav ) frm the movie Yes Boss goes neglected and ignored by the masses. Infact, i have a friend sane enough to add a song 'Rape Me' to his favlist. This friend of mine, one of the most cheerful persons i ever met, again ironically, has a deep love for 'Nirvana' and its lead singer/guitarist 'Kurt Cobain', the most insane singer i ever listened to!!!! Me just cant relate to the genre (read/pronounce jaunere) it plays and sings!!! And I can but only wonder at all this!!!!!!!!!!

@Clock's Tick
Sitting in my room, without anything to do, i looked towards the table clock, toppled right now, gifted by a very dear friend. The table-piece displays the time in digital format and also today's date and day( like mon, tue, wed, thu, fri, sat, sun ). Looking at it I just wondered what was it for. Was it gifted for some special reason. Did the friend know then, how easily i waste my time. Was it there to remind me every second, not to waste the next one. I say i have nothing to do right now, ironically, i can think, right at this same moment, there is so much to do. There is so so so much to do. How am i gonna do what i want to do if i waste my resources like this. And just when these embarrasing thoughts were crossing ma mind, the flashing colon in the time display ':' appeared as if eyes of the clock, watching me!!! Infact the zero following it seemed to complete the smiley ':o' thus showing surprize. Was the clock surprized at me. Did it know, wat i was going thru inside. It was 22:09 then, and the very next moment, it changed to 22:10. RELAXED!!! I felt. for now the smiley had changed to ':|' showing straight face. Hence no care, no, nothing at all. But something serious had crossed my mind in this moment. Was the clock looking at me this way daily, every instant, every moment. It shows 'THU' as day. I wonder if it was hindi waala 'thoo' at me. Wat is the clock thinking when it changes to ':2', ':3', ':4', ':5', and just when i was pondering this, there was a voice
:| - what r u doing??
me - nothing??
:| - y nothing??
me - i dont have anything to do right now!!
:| - oh! i see! then it is okay, if u got no work, what can u probably do?? okay bye then ( and just then the face changed to ':2', try visualizing the digital '2', its such a wierd look )
me - hey wait wait!!! dont u have any empathy wid me!!
:2 - wat?? empathy?? me?? lolzz!!!
me - hey wait!!
:2 - wait?? u silly!! u dont know kya!! i dont wait for anybody!!!
me - awwwwwww ( crying in one of my friend's style ), i need u, dont go away, i need u!! be my friend, be with me!! plzz!!
:2 - u moron!! i make no friends!!! Not atleast you!!
me - ??!!!!!!! yyyyy??? wat did i do???

@my_friends_at_IITR
Here is a post dedicated completely to my friends at IITR. Actually i had been thinking of writing some such stuff for a long time now, but everytime i sat, i could not find the right way to do so, then seeing the recent post by little known chuha ( a.k.a harsh ), and also little inspired by it, i decided to let it go simple... so here goes... their probable future as i see....
1.Mr. Hussain (urf Mr. Monotonous Looks ) – I think he will carry the same looks, if i by chance happen to see him after ‘n’ years, no matter how small or how big a value of ‘n’ one may choose.
2.Mr. Kush – Will one day die out of miserliness. I guess that is one strong reason of his strong body.
3.Mr. Bond – Abey kaika bond, kuch nahi aata saale ko, kitni baar iski saari bondgiri dhari reh gayi!!!! Will definitely loose the title soon!! No doubt!!
4.Mr. Sunil and Mr. Manish – Our Black diamonds. Mere 2 anmol ratan!!
5.Mr Nippi – High probability of getting raped. Cant say if it will be some girl or some gay.
6.Mr Rustagi – In urgent need of a shoulder uplift surgery. All blame goes to the infi workload he takes.
7.Master Balak – High tendency of getting murdered for his innocent acts!!!
8.Mr Venkat – Information guru of the future. Very less credibility though.
9. Mr Lalu – I guess 'chote' suits him better, will replace our PM some day, and arrange free drinks and parties for everyone, every saturday night!!!
10. Mr. Me – The tall, dark, handsome angel, will change the world!! ;)
11. Miss Sant - Cant say very surely, but may b a large part of her life will be dedicated to community service, might come to b known as Mother Teresa 2 in future.
Now that i am liking this future forecasting, lemme extend this to some of our Gurus of this sem also...
12. Mr Rotations Per Minute – Unprobable future!!!
13. Mr SPY – Will go to Hell, meri badd-dua hai.
14. Mr Fernandes – Will meet heaven, coz of so lots of duaen all the students give him.
P.S - Waise 'chote' suits equally to the little personality, presently known as 'Bond'. Who knows!! This might be his next title!!!!

@msg of a dream
Ok,how many of u ever wondered, bout dreams, bout why they occur, and what they tell. Although there are lots of different speculations bout what dreams actually tell, but for me, dreams depict the real me. If anybody ever wants to know his true characteristics, his true nature, then dreams are the source. In our day-to-day experiences, we see a lot of things, we hear a lot of things, we learn a lot of things, and we change ourself accordingly. Sometimes, u portray false, which then becomes a habit and finally u are confused bout your real nature. It happens to all of us at some or other point of life. We find ourself in a dilemma as to whether we will be doing a particular act when in some particular situation. For example many times i think, will i stand for my friends, will i b there for my family, will i ever stop being ignorant, will i be this, will i b that blah blah blah!!! Coz these are questions which u can find answers to, only after u have been through such a situation!!! Otherwise the mind, just keeps giving clever,manipulated,politically correct answers!! So how do you find the real you, may b this the picture, where dreams enter in!! Since u can not manipulate a dream, thus they are bound to be true portrayal of urself to urself!!! If ever u dream, that u are crying on loosing a special friend, then u probably will, no matter how much emotionally strong u feel from inside, if ever u dream that u betrayed a friend for some mean purpose, then some day u wont think twice while doing the same, no matter how good a friend u r. For example, last night i remember a dream where i slapped my lil' sis' repeatedly for not telling who destroyed my laptop. Infact this dream was the sole inspiration for writing this post!! I was asking her a serious question, and she kept laughing without answering the question!! Now, this tells me, what i tend to do instinctively, if i really fall for such a situation, but my conscious tells me that i wont do any such stupidity, coz i love her the most in this world, nobody.. literally nobody.. ever has meant so much to me as her!!! Neways, leave that, all in all, i just want to say that dreams depict ur instincts!! You might act differently owing to ur conscious!! May b, we can learn what things to change in us, by analyzing our dreams!!! May be this is the sole purpose of our dreams!! Who knows!!!

@U R Hacked
That was my orkut name, a couple of minutes ago!!! Yes!! While i was chatting with a friend of mine, i noticed that my name on orkut, had changed... it was showing 'U R'... i thought, it was some anamoly, so i refreshed the page and the name was still there. then i moved to my profile page, and what i saw forced me to drop my lower jaw down!! the complete name was 'U R Hacked'!!! I told it to my friend to confirm... and it was confirmed!!! My account had been hacked!! what cud i do!! I logged out first and tried logging in with my password.. to check if the password is still the same.. to my relief i successfully logged in. The very next minute, i changed my password!!! Well after all, i use same google account to login all the google services. After that, i thanked the hacker, for forcing me to change my password!!!
To me, it was an experience, first of its kind. I always used to believe, internet accounts arent hacked randomly... y on earth will somebody hack my account... but now m sure.. there are certain mischievious people, who do it randomly for fun. Me included!! Actually, me too once cracked an orkut account of one of my friends.I changed her name to 'Holy Witch', changed her profile to match that of an alien's from some planet at the outskirts of our galaxy, also uploaded a deformed display pic!! At that time, i had not realized how shockingly cool stuff it cud be, that was only half as much fun as this one. I cud not help but recall everything i did!! This person who hacked my account didnt do anything more than changing my name!! So kind of him!! He cud have messed up with my scrapbook, my friendlist, cud have scrapped crap scraps to my friends, cud have sent hundreds of friend requests.. but he didnt do anything!!!! Was it all, just to teach me a lesson!! If yes, buddy, i learnt only one thing.. HACKING IS COOL!!!

@Malvika Shah
Before u start wondering!! Let me introduce u to Malvika Shah(unreal name for a real personality)!! And, plzzz, she is not the one!! :)
Another matchstick girl!! She was my classmate, when i entered my new school in 9th class!! and i remember... she was among my first few friends there. She had messed up wid almost half of the class. Every now and then, somebody or other, wud keep advicing me, not to talk to her!! Infact i remember.. ek baar toh ek friend ke saath... baat friendship par aa gayi thi... that if i talked to this girl again, we wont remain friends then!!! But i took my chance and managed to b friends with both of them somehow :) lucky me!!! They told me, she had loadza attitude!!
After dropping from the school after 10th... no contacts wid her for approximately 3 yrs!! Then 1 day i went to meet an old chap and i was shocked to learn that she lived just opposite to him!!! and she greeted me with same cheerful smile!! Wow!! i felt!! then it became a regular stuff!! Every time i come back home from rrk.. i meet both of them... and she will always be there, wearing the same smile.. always!!
U might be wondering, y m giving so much stress on her smile!! Well!! she has a killer smile!! U just need to see her smile once, to fall in love with her!!! just now i did a video chat with her!! and gosh!! i cud not remove my eyes off her!! I kept typing things, which made her smile!! naughty me!! ;) infact, it was her smile, that forced me to write a post completely dedicated to her. And yes, ek baat aur bata dun, she does have loadza attitude, woh bhi thoda idiotic types, par chalta hai... and lemme tell u.. very few of her friends might b knowing this.. but she is really a friend-in-need-is-a-friend-indeed type ki friend.. u juuustt need to set the chemistry.

@my sadness
why there is so much of happiness around...
m afraid...
not that it will all go away some day...
but, will it ever go away some day...
the birds are happy... trees are happy...
the winds are happy... oceans are happy...
why noone is sad around...
god.. i miss sadness..
damn its too short lived in my case..
i miss pain.. and its joy..
i miss sorrow.. lol, i know m an interesting boy...
plz god.. i beg ur throne..
dont wanna live in happiness alone...
so long i have lived this way..
m getting bored of it, plz make my day..
when was it last time i cried for over 7 minutes..i dont remember...
damn my lucky number 7 turns out unlucky everytime... i surrender...
7 didnt even work on 7-7-7...
i hate it, it brought me heaven...
offo, its heaven again..
y m i not in hell.. i miss my pain...
heaven, becoz i feel so relieved
damn my sadness has become too short lived...
m afraid...
not that it will all go away some day...
but, will it ever go away some day...

@life
wats life?? i never wonder!!!
to me... its a diary...
every page of which is written by me myself...
though with some mistakes... and some corrections...
may be a little vague.. but still very clear..
i decide its direction and move that way..
with big confidence.. a little shaken though..
and while i move, i see many such diaries..
filled with tales...
of love and hate
of amazement and grief
of births and deaths..
but in all such diaries... i find one thing common..
that happiness takes much more area than sadness..
we just don't pay enough attention to it...
and as i learn this.. i learn one more thing..
one can never write the next page..
before turning the previous one..
one can never know that the signal is green..
before taking the car out..
so i learnt to take chances..
i learnt that not everything can be planned in my diary...
and so i learnt..
not to plan at all.. :)
i write in my diary whatever comes to my mind..
trying to avoid mistakes...
but still not afraid of making some...
for, i believe...
those who don't make mistakes often don't do anything...

@Windows Vista

ummmm..... who said Vista was a useless OS which does nothing
except slowing down the system. You just got to get a good processor and a minimum of 1 GB ram to see vista doing wonders.Its got some really brilliant features like inbuilt disk partition management system, changed start menu system, media player 11, IE7, speech recognition to perform each and every task(except listening to music coz that creates very high noise input to the speech recognition software), sidebar, improved search feature etc etc etc... there are loads of them, u just need to explore them out.
how many of u ever desired to have some system which could partition the disk without rebooting or without the windows XP CD, how many of u ever wondered if every program could be launched with keyboard only and that too in minimum number of steps.. u just need to type the name of the program u want to launch in the start menu search bar and press enter.. yes thats all it requires to launch any application in Vista, IE7 takes tab browsing to another level... providing a quick view of all the open tabs in one single page(20 tab pages at a time)... just imagine how fancy it cud be to just speak the task and ur computer recognising ur speech and performing every single task u say... and the sidebar as google sidebar is also one very useful utility.. changed wallpaper anytime, get latest news updates, stock rates and most important PC memory usage with just one click... and since it is already integrated in the OS it does not consume as much RAM as google sidebar does... similarly the improved search is also almost a copy of the google desktop search but more easily used since there is no double 'ctrl' press required.
the only annoying thing i found was the authentication which has to be done every time u run any service or feature/program.. but with time i got accustomed to it...
and atlast, not to forget the amaaaaazzing WOW! effect... its just too amazzzzzzzing to be described in words... check it out urself.
